Project description
High-impact design for Nigeria’s top-tier Call of Duty competition.
As the league set its sights on becoming Nigeria’s #1 Call of Duty destination, I was contracted to create the full visual experience—from branding to matchday content—translating the thrill of eSports into bold, competitive visuals for streamers, fans, and sponsors.

Challenge
At inception, the league lacked a unified brand and professional-grade visuals. Without compelling design, it struggled to stand out in a growing local eSports scene. The core challenge was to give the Mega eSports League a strong visual identity and broadcast-ready assets that reflected its competitive ambition.

Ways of working
As Graphics and Motion Designer for Mega eSports League, I developed the league’s full visual identity, including branding, stream overlays, trailers, and social content. I focused on creating high-energy, professional visuals that resonated with the Nigerian gaming audience. By building reusable templates and scalable design systems, I streamlined content production and helped boost engagement across platforms.

Process
I started by researching global eSports visuals and crafted a design system tailored to Nigerian gamers. This included branding, motion graphics, and stream assets, all optimized for tournaments and social engagement. Assets were refined through feedback to ensure clarity, energy, and consistency across platforms.

Research & Planning
Researched global Call of Duty and Valorant leagues to define a design direction that balanced global quality with local cultural flavor. Outlined visual elements tailored to competitive gaming and digital broadcast environments.

Design & Prototyping
Created a high-energy, professional look across all assets. From player highlight cards to countdown screens and branded animations, the designs prioritized clarity, competitive intensity, and brand consistency.
Development & Implementation
Graphics were deployed across Twitch and YouTube streams, Instagram, and in sponsorship materials. Video reels and animated intros were also used in promotion, onboarding, and recaps—building excitement across each tournament cycle.
Solution
The final design system elevated the Mega eSports League into a visually cohesive, recognizable, and scalable brand. The streaming experience matched international standards while the social visuals helped foster a passionate and engaged Nigerian gamer base.

Engaging motion graphics and videos contributed to a 25% increase in session duration on the Drop Green app, as users found the platform easier and more enjoyable to navigate.
